Get Contracts in Writing

There is a legal term known to most people in the real estate industry as the "Statue of Frauds" (http://www.expertlaw.com/library/business/statute_of_frauds.html), this is statue requires certain contracts to be in writing to be enforceable. It is not impossible or unheard of for two people to come to terms on the price of a property (verbally) and go from there to the closing table at sometime in the future. This however is rarely done is never recommended. There are too many issues that can arise in transferring real estate to do it verbally.
