You must see this 1850 sq ft Cape Cod
lake home built in 2006 by Amish craftsmen.Â
It sits on 5.5 acres
on the shores of a quiet basin of Sullivan
lake, a 468 acre
recreational lake. This house includes a
full walkout basement with a great room, bath room, utility room, and garage
bay.
The main floor has three bed rooms, two full bath rooms, and
the laundry room. What we call the
great room is also on the main floor.Â
This 30 x 30 room, consists of the family room, kitchen
and dining area. Vaulted ceilings just
add to the openness and spaciousness of the area.Â
Your guests will love to linger around the eat at bar, and
talk while you finish preparing your gourmet feast. The openness of this area also allows for as
much, or as little, dining room space as you want.Â
Adding to the spaciousness of the great room is access to an
unfinished bonus room (above the garage).Â
Access to this room is through the dining area.
From the great room, there are two sets of French doors and
lots of windows facing Sullivan Lake,
and opening to a 3/4 covered deck, which runs the length of the house. A third set of French doors, and more windows
access the deck from the master bedroom.
The spacious master bed room has a large 6 x 7
walk in closet, and its own private bath.Â
The large master bath boasts a roomy walk in shower and a claw foot tub.
All of the kitchen and bathroom hardwood cabinetry was built
by the Amish to specifically match the style of this home. All of the 36 interior doors are solid wood, six
panel doors; and the molding is hardwood.Â
Both were stained to mach the cabinetry. Â
The main level of the house has laminate hard wood flooring
throughout except for ceramic tile in both bath rooms.   Â
All appliances are top of the line, and were purchased new
when the home was built. (Refrigerator,
dishwasher, stove, full sized stacked washer and dryer)
The full walk-out basement has a large room that would be
great for a loft style apartment, gaming or living room. (It is wired and plumed for a
kitchenette.)Â This room has two sets of
windows facing the lake, and a set of French doors opening to a cement
patio.Â
The basement also includes a finished full bath room,
utility room (plumbed for a second washer and dryer), and a single garage bay (for
storing yard or lake equipment).
The house has a heat pump for heating and cooling. There is a secondary, electric, forced air
furnace for those few really cold days.
The house was fully wired for voice, video and data while it
was being built. All of the cabling is
terminated and labeled at both ends. The
house cruelty is set for Dish Network satellite television, and uses Starband
satellite internet. One Linksys wireless
access point currently covers the home.
 The house is on Shelburn
City water, and has a private
septic system.
