| Description: |
This mountain setting is so spectacular, it's like owning your own National Park! In fact, the national forest is almost at your back door. Com'on, just face it, you always wanted to be the last house on the road, with your nearest neighbor several miles away!
This log style home is situated at the base of the Spanish Peaks. The 12 acres are comprised of a couple of meadows and lots of timber; ponderosa pine, spruce, scrub oak & aspen. A crystal clear mountain stream runs the entire length of the land. This brook babbles just a few feet from the deck and is complete with a rustic foot bridge for easy crossing. Deer, elk, turkey and bear are frequent visitors to this pristine nature preserve.
The property is also home to a unique geological formation called a dike (supposedly found only in one other place, Nepal). These dikes (rock walls) radiate from the Spanish Peaks like spokes on a wheel. Some say that there is some sort of a magnetic vortex around these dikes attracting and facilitating higher spirituality. I don't know about that, but I do agree that this place does seem magical!
Great property for all terrain vehicles,  cross country skiing, snow-shoeing or horseback riding. Numerous lakes in the area (and private trout ponds if you're nice to your neighbors) are there for you fishermen. The house is decorated and furnished like the mountain lodge you want it to be. It has two wood burning fireplaces that keep you cozy on those snowy Colorado nights and a large kitchen (over 30 feet of countertops) that can accommodate lots of friends and family for those mountain getaway weekends. |
