Hunting Lodge, Vacation Home, Sportsman's Paradise, Business Retreat, House, Cabin or Tranquil getaway. Perfect for wildlife lovers, hunters or watchers, photographers, recreation enthusiasts, home workers or retirees: this is the place for it all. At 4,000 feet elevation, the view is so breathtaking that the Crooked Fork Lodge is more than just a place; it's a feeling that you just have to experience. Located in the Blue Mountains of southeast Washington in Garfield County, there are very few places like this - it's as if you are on top of the world. It provides an incomparable wildlife experience as it borders and views the Wenaha Wilderness (177,000 acres). This remote, private 30 acre site was designed and built for recreational fun, and offers truly the ultimate in seclusion. The views of Crooked Fork Canyon and its animals are unbeatable. The nearest full-time neighbor is about three miles away; we think we have the last commercial power pole on earth! 65 miles southwest of Lewiston, Idaho there is world class fishing within 20 minutes on the famous Grande Ronde River, which boasts the greatest Steelhead and Salmon fishing around. And from the Grande Ronde you can float or boat to Hells Canyon on the equally famous Snake River. The lodge is surrounded by auto-irrigated food plots which are planted with the best attractant foods for deer, elk, turkeys, grouse, ducks and geese. Elk, Whitetail and Mule deer are found in the yard virtually everyday year round. Bear, cougar, Big Horn sheep, moose and mountain goats are also part of the wildlife experience that can viewed from the lodge. This property and the surrounding area are full of a wide array of adventures from wilderness viewing to hiking, horseback trail riding, four wheeling, hunting and snow sports, with snowmobiling right up to your door! Once a year deer and elk shed their antlers, and we pick up enough antlers to pay for the feed bill! There is literally miles and miles of places to explore and things to do right out your front door. The mountain top house is custom built and designed for maximum outdoor viewing of the expansive, surrounding wilderness. Built in the year 2000, the cabin is a quarter mile off a forest service road which allows us year round access. The 2200 square foot open floor plan offers full utilities, tile and carpet flooring, central heating and air. The design includes a recreation room, three bedrooms (potentially four or five), two baths with a beautiful wood stove that will keep you warm even during the coldest weather. The third story lookout tower has a 360 degree view above the tree tops of the Washington, Oregon and Idaho mountains. There is a 24 ft x 36 ft insulated garage providing a wood stove and a large open bay garage with enough room for all your outdoor recreational toys. This is simply a place you have to see to believe. |
