If you're not familiar with condotels, understand it is nothing like time share. Its a condo in a hotel that you own outright and can rent it through a management company if you choose to. The monthly income can pay your mortgage and then some, and you can stay in the room whenever you like. I bought it outright and have no mortgage so its been pure income for me. My monthly checks tend to range between $1600 and $2000 depending on how busy the hotel has been and whether or not I visited. There is a maintanence fee of $450 and this grants you access to all the facilities including pool, spa, gym, and a lot more. It's in the best location in Honolulu, right next to the Ala Moana mall and walking distance from the beach and from downtown Waikiki. Prices vary depending on income and view but if you do your research you will see that mine is listed for WAY below its value. In fact, I was just in escrow to sell it for $217,000, but it fell through because the buyer couldn't get a satisfactory loan.
