Let's look at other property sales in the area: - Russia sells Alaska to the United States - $7,500,000. Now Alaska is worth approximately $234 zillion dollars!!!! - France sells all of the west end of North America to the United States for $11,250,000. Now Louisiana is worth over $753 zillion-billion dollars! Could this property be the next Seward's Folly or Louisiana Purchase? Probably not, but could be! Property prices are rising in the area. If you don't believe me ask Russia or France! Very efficient oil furnace, RV hookups, W/D hookups, dishwasher, Dish Network (not affiliated with dishwasher), gas stove. Very energy efficient. Beautiful view of Mt. Redoubt and Iliamna volcanoes (unless you don't like looking at volcanoes, then just look the other way). Very kid & pet friendly area. The land is bordered on all sides by a hedgerow of cleared logs (to keep the monkeys...er...children from wandering off), and the lot is level. The house is located on North Fork Rd. in Anchor Point, which is very snow friendly (paved road; a big plus for Anchor Point). Its exactly 2.5 miles from the Sterling Highway, and exactly 4.5 minutes from the nearest store that sells Ben & Jerrys Ice Cream (my wife is pregnant). On established bus route for the Kenai School District. Anchor Point School just down the street (just before the store with ice cream) Great King Salmon fishing in the Anchor River (just down the road). Lots of moose, eagles, and even the occasional bear. Right now it has a brand new $1700 play set on it, which my kids insist is going with us when we move. However, if you buy the house and have kids it wouldn't take too much convincing to get me to leave it there for you. Its a commonly known fact that the Homer area is one of the prettiest places on Earth. There are no less than 6 active volcano visible nearby. Friggin' beautiful. Why is it named Anchor Point? Because Captain Cook lost his anchor in the mud there (seriously). Actually most of Cook inlet is named after Captain Cooks goof-ups: Anchor Point: Lost his anchor. No, but the driveway has rocks. Lots of nice rocks. I've been bitten by a squirrel, what should I do? If it's safe to do so, try to capture the squirrel. If you can't catch it, call Animal Control immediately; they may be able to trap it. Get to a doctor, and if possible get the squirrel to a vet to be tested for rabies.
