| Description: |
Cedar shingled home on ten acres with lovely perennial gardens, barn, small pond, stream and view of White Mountains. This is a charming home located one hour and a quarter from Portland, one hour from Augusta and half an hour from some of the best skiing on the East Coast. The house sits in a wooded area in the heart of tourmaline country with ample opportunity for mountain hiking and swimming. The nearest lake is four miles.
The house is easy to heat with a thermostatically controlled propane fireside heater, a large wood burning Jotul in the living room and a Monitor in the study.
There is a living room, large kitchen, study, TV room, screened porch and bathroom downstairs. Upstairs are three bedrooms and a bathroom.
The barn, located next to the pond, has been built with the idea of eventually putting an apt on the top floor. It has its own septic tank.
This property is entirely private: No other house can been seen from it and the house itself and its yards cannot be observed by a passer-by.
